Hgh Supplementation: What It Can Do For You

Walk into a health food store or cruise one on the Internet, and you’ll be overwhelmed by the zillions of herbs, tinctures, vitamins, potions, tablets and magic drinks that all promise to help you live a healthier life. Each of these products claims some benefit of health-enhancing, anti-aging, weight loss, better sex or what-have-you.

However, of all the remedies available, there’s one that is just brazenly thorough in its list of benefits. HGH, or Human Growth Hormone, is said to improve pretty much every aspect of your body’s appearance, function and health. In fact, after checking the list of benefits of HGH therapy, it’s hard to come up with something this miracle product doesn’t do. Here’s just a partial list of the abilities of HGH:

It’s an almost exhaustive list of benefits. But what is this stuff? And are the claims credible? If so, how does one get this miracle substance?

Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is a protein-type hormone made up of 190 amino acids, secreted by the anterior pituitary gland. HGH acts as a sort maestro of the complex interplay of other hormones — and hormones are basically the body’s messengers, telling it what to do when. In this way, HGH directs and affects the entire body and all its systems of cells, bones, muscles, organs, glands and nerves. It acts either directly on other cells, binding to them to create a specific action (like fat breakdown), or indirectly by triggering the release of other chemicals.

We produce HGH naturally in our bodies in generous amounts when we are young, but, like everything else, HGH production drops off dramatically after the age of 21. By the time we’re 40, HGH has slowed so much that nearly everyone is deficient in HGH.

Early HGH studies involved injecting actual HGH from the pituitary glands of deceased donors. As you might imagine, aside from sounding mildly creepy, this method is outrageously expensive — as much as $1,000 to $2,000 per month! This prohibitively troublesome method, though proven very effective, was simply not a feasible approach, and scientists continued to study and develop a HGH supplementation processes.

Today, instead of physically replacing HGH in the body with someone else’s HGH by injection, scientists have figured out what triggers the body to create its own. Through the use of these “releasers” or “secretogogues,” it’s now possible to rev up HGH production to much more youthful levels.

Doctors Philip A. White, M.D. and Donald M. McLeod, M.D. in their book, Doctors’ Secrets: The Road to Longevity, they fully endorse the use of releasers:

“We have seen that one of the best ways of keeping the hormonal levels in the youthful range, and of keeping our cellular physiology in the youthful range, is by keeping our levels of HGH (Human Growth Hormone) in a youthful range. One of the simplest ways of doing that is by the use of secretogogues. We will recall that we can stimulate the pituitary to release more HGH (Human Growth Hormone) and bring the levels back to bygone years by use of secretogogues. This does not require great expense, nor trips to a clinic for repeated injections.

And because these secretogogues are simply stimulating the pituitary to do what it normally does, the Human Growth Hormone (HGH) levels are then controlled by the body’s feedback loop, and will not exceed normal levels. This makes secretogogues use an extremely safe therapy as well.

In our opinion, the use of secretogogues is one of the simplest, safest, least expensive, and most convenient ways of raising and maintaining the levels of HGH in the body to which the majority will respond. Which makes it the easiest way of maintaining a youthful physiology.”

Think of it — leaner body, thicker hair, smoother skin, healthier heart, stronger bones, better sex life… this HGH stuff reads like all the snake oil ads you’ve ever read, spun together in a blender.
